The Scary Helmet relays

This was not an adventure, an epic or an event that requires much fitness to take part but an incredibly unique experience that just had to be recorded an noted down for future reference. 

It was the scary helmet relays; a local running 2mile  relay held at Darley park in the pitch black. I was in a mixed team with Hannah, Andrew and Louise. It was a brilliant experience to run around the pitch-black at race pace in very muddy and wet conditions. Probably not the greatest preparation for my fell race that was the day after but an awesome experience. We even came first mixed team which was an added bonus

At least the head torch hid the grimaces at the finish line!
